Outside Sales Representative
Graybar
RESPONSIBILITIES: · Progressively manage and maintain contacts with established customers and source new business through prospecting new customers. Sales Representative must customarily and regularly engage in work away from company's place of business. · Promote and sell Graybar products in compliance with all company pricing policies and instructions, to achieve maximum gross margin rate. · Handle customer complaints promptly, effectively and report potential claims. · Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions. · Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed and recommend new items for stock. · Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested. · Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Education: Bachelors degree preferred. Experience: Two to four years' industry-specific experience preferred. Knowledge: Broad knowledge of product line and pricing. Proven ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals. Negotiation skills along with ability to sell and be persuasive. Broad knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing. Professional appearance and demeanor. Acceptable driving record. May require onsite customer visits.
